use end publish date in Latest News Timeline

I'm testing the Latest News Timeline module and it looks really great. I would like to use the 'end publish' date as the reference date in the timeline. Is that possible? because I cannot find this in the options.
Secondly, is it possible to change the date in the header to text? So it does not give the impression all events are in the past.
